PRE KINDERGARTEN:  This program uses the Scott Foresman curriculum which is used in the Rochester Public Schools.  The emphasis is on literacy and writing.   There is journaling along with short stories that are sent home weekly.  Throughout the week in class the focus is on one story. Getting to know it very well and all the aspects of that story is an important literacy piece.  Some of the stations set up around the room include letter recognition and the sounds that letters make.  Basic math skills are also explored.  Getting students as prepared for Kindergarten as possible is the main objection of the Pre Kindergarten program.  Students in this class must be 4 on or before September 1st of the current school year.  Your choice of sessions includes  5 day M-F am or a 3 day option on M-W-F am.

LUNCH BUNCH:  A program that allows your child an opportunity to learn and use appropriate socialization skills while eating lunch with his/her peers.  In addition to lunch (which you provide) activities such as circle games, outdoor play or a story may be included.  Parents provide a cold lunch, including a beverage that does not need to be refrigerated.  You sign up for your day and that day is yours for the school year unless you make any changes to your child's schedule.  Children must be 3 years old to be in Lunch Bunch and there is reserved "Drop In" spots when available.  Lunch Bunch runs from 12:00 to 12:50.

ENRICHMENTS:  Enrichment classes add to the educational development of your child in the areas of Literacy, Sign Language, Art & Music, Cooking, Discovery (Science & Social Studies)  These classes meet one day per week and can extend out your child's half day to a full day.
